If you've just switched to Bulb, you should send your first reading within 5 days of your switch completing. But don't worry, we'll send you an email to remind you.
Ideally, after that, you should submit meter readings every month. We'll send you a monthly reminder.
We'll ask you to send your reading during the 3 days before your payment date. This helps make sure your statement is based on up-to-date usage data. So if your payment date is on the 5th of the month, you should send your reading on the 2nd, 3rd or 4th. Otherwise, we'll have to estimate some of your usage.
If you can't send us readings every month or if you forget to send us readings in the 3 days before your payment date, that's okay. A meter reading every 3 months allows us to keep your estimated readings very close to your actual usage.
