Connecting your smart meter's In-Home Display (IHD) to Wi-Fi

When your smart meters are installed, you’ll be given an In-Home Display (IHD) which shows how much energy you’re using. We recommend keeping your IHD connected to Wi-Fi, to make sure the software is updated automatically.

Connecting your IHD to Wi-Fi also means you can use your IHD with other apps, like SmartThings Energy Control, which enables you to access your energy data on your smartphone or tablet.

There are different models of IHD. The quickest way to tell which one you have is by the colour of the case. It'll either be white for an IHD6 or black for an IHD3.
