The Feed-in Tariff (FIT) is ending on 1st April

The Government's feed-in tariff is closing on the 31st of March 2019. This means that all installations registered after this point won't be eligible for the 20-year payment scheme.

If you've already had your installation certified before the 31st March you will still be able to register for payments with a FIT licensee, such as Bulb, until March 31st 2020.

What if I've already signed up for FIT payments?

If you're already signed up to receive FIT payments from Bulb this won't affect you. You'll continue to receive payments until the end of your 20 year eligibility period.

Where do I find out my issue date?

Your issue date is the date your installation certificate was produced, it's found on the top of your MCS certificate. This should've been given to you by your installer in your Handover Pack.

Can I still switch my Feed-in Tariff?

Yes, the FIT end date only applies to registering new systems, you will still be able to switch to any FIT licensee. You can apply to change your FIT payments to Bulb in your Bulb Account

What's next?

At Bulb, we think that anyone who pioneers microgeneration technology to help reduce their carbon footprint should be rewarded by being paid a fair price for what they put back onto the grid. We'll be working on our own export tariff to launch in the future and will be sure to keep you updated with any news we have on this.
