Wise is a money transfer service, regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). We often use Wise to send payments to our members.
Wise used to be known as TransferWise. The company changed its name to Wise in March 2021. While they're updating their website and all their communications, some information may still use the old TransferWise name.
You’ll get an email from Bulb before we make a payment through Wise
If we’re sending you a payment through Wise, we’ll always email you first to let you know a payment is coming, and why.
You’ll get an email from Wise asking for your banking details
To process your payment, Wise will also send you an email. It includes a link that will expire in 7 days.
They’ll ask you to fill in details including your banking information. We do not store this information at Bulb, and Wise handle these details securely.

The payment will always have a Bulb reference on your bank statement
To make it easier to spot the payment, Wise will use a Bulb reference which will show up on your bank statement.
