When can I get a smart meter if the signal in my area is bad?

We'll email you once we know the signal in your area is strong enough for smart meters. 

Smart meters send readings to suppliers via a nationwide communication network. This is managed by the Data Communications Company (DCC). They send us regular reports about the strength of the network around the country. When we know the signal is strong enough for smart meters to send your readings back to Bulb, we'll be in touch and invite you to book an installation.

We won't install smart meters in an area until the signal improves to the necessary level.
