Managing your top up meters during the winter

Everyone's energy usage typically goes up during the winter, so here are some tips to help you manage your energy during the colder months.

You'll have to top up more often

The average home with top up meters (also called prepay) spends about £10 more per week on their heating bills during the winter. So you'll probably have to top up more often.

There are some simple things you can do to reduce your energy bills.

You've got emergency credit in case you run out

If your power goes off because you've run out of credit, and you're not able to top up right away, you can turn on your emergency credit.

You'll have to pay this back the next time you top up.
