Before we switch your business to Bulb, we’ll need to do some checks with a credit reporting agency called Creditsafe. We do credit checks to make sure new business members will be able to pay for their energy.
If Creditsafe’s report shows that your business doesn’t have a credit score or your score is too low, you can’t join Bulb for Business right now.
This applies to all types of businesses, including organisations like charities and community interest companies.
If your business fails a credit check, you might be able to improve your credit score if you think it’s wrong, or get a score if your business doesn’t have one. Then you can try to switch to Bulb for Business again.
Getting a copy of your report if you think your score is wrong
You can contact Creditsafe to get a copy of your credit report. If any information in it looks wrong, you can ask for it to be removed or corrected. This might help improve your score.

There are some businesses that might not have a credit score yet, like if your business is just starting out, you’re a sole trader, or a place of worship.
