If you refer an employee to Bulb, they'll get £50 credit - and so will your business.

To get the credit, your employee must sign up using your business’s referral link. If they don't sign up using your link, we can't tell that you referred them.

Find your link in the Bulb app or your Bulb account

If you don't have the Bulb app yet, you can download it for iOS or for Android.

In the app, choose ‘Get £50’ to go to the Referrals section, then tap ‘Refer a business’. The link will look something like this: business.bulb.co.uk/refer/johns123

In your business's Bulb account, click the ‘Give £50, get £50’ tile, then choose ‘Refer a business’. You can copy and paste it into a message, or send an email directly to your employee.

You can see all your referrals and rewards in the same section under ‘Members you’ve referred'.

You'll get the credit when your employee’s switch completes, or they’ve made their first top-up

It usually takes 21 days for a switch to complete. Once it’s done, you’ll both get the £50 reward. It’ll be added to your business’s account as credit.

If your employee has a key or card meter, you'll receive your credit once they've made their first top up after they've switched. Your employee will get their credit as a Wise payment to their bank account.

You can refer as many employees as you like

There's no limit to the number of people (or businesses) you can refer. The more the merrier.

Some employees may not be eligible for referral credit

If your employee has not received their credit this could be because:

  • they haven't used the referral link
  • they’re already a Bulb member
  • their property is already supplied by Bulb
  • they left Bulb in the last 12 months and are switching back

Read our Terms and Conditions for more information about our referral programme.
